In the Year 2141, a towering empire of silver, glass, and flashing screens threatens to destroy the earth. In a world where we have everything we need and beyond–where novelty has a shorter shelf life than ever before–what does it take to feel anything any MORE?
Enter Rainbow Circle — one girl's journey to find herself and save the people of the Crystal City from the Executive Game Operators, a secret society who has twisted perception to project a shiny reality that keeps humanity asleep within its own warped reflection.
When 13-year-old Rayna Jade — a curious misfit with a love for wandering and making music — discovers she is a descendant of the Lineage of Light, she is called to embrace her power and embark on a journey through seven mystical realms. Along the way, she must collect elemental instruments and weave a powerful song to help humanity remember the light within before it fades from their memory forever.
This immersive story created by Cynthia Undyantara and Brian Russo is medicine for our current time — illustrating the perils humanity faces on its current course and a way forward for a future that will benefit all beings. Art can save the world and Rainbow Circle is more than just an entertaining story, it is a blueprint for a collective transformation–revealing a multi-generational story of healing, regenerating earth, and transforming humanity
The story begins in a futuristic earth in a dystopian metropolis called Crystal City where citizens are trapped in an over-stimulating, game-like system, and constantly plugged into Dream Machines that disconnect their awareness from their natural surroundings.
The Crystal City gleams like a jewel forged from steel and glass. Its towering spires reflect the artificial glow of a thousand holo-ads. The hum of endless machinery fills the air like a constant, mechanical heartbeat. Shadows cling to every corner where secrets are whispered and deals are struck in silence. The Dream Machines run 24/7, casting their hypnotic glow across the city, keeping the people pacified while the city’s true colors faded behind the polished glass and chrome. The city is dazzling, hypnotic, and dangerous — a place where every reflection holds a lie and every neon shadow hides a truth. But the City is about to be seen for what it is, and its people will rise with an ancient light.
They built their home on the last drop of water. They spread sideways — into neighboring lands. Forest stripped bare and communities 'relocated'. They severed people from their homes and erased their wisdom. Without wisdom there is only control. When they exhausted the surface, they burrowed downward into the Earth. Oil was burned to feed the machines, which in turn fueled more expansion and destruction. The Earth was left depleted of minerals. The skies choked with pollution so dense it blocked the sun. Weather patterns collapsed. Rain became rare. Water, once abundant, turned scarce, poisoned by industrial waste.
The Dream Machines kept the people of the Crystal City pacified. They switched on their Holo-lenses day in and day out, surrendering themselves to endless simulations and curated fantasies. Many even wore them while they slept, their minds lulled into a constant, hypnotic glow.
Instead of sleep, citizens climb into pods, strapping on gas masks that pump chemicals tailored to their desires. Dopamine, serotonin, melatonin—whatever their brain craves. They can download new recipes, skills, languages, podcasts, movies, and declutter the memory palace for optimized performance. Constant progression, even in sleep mode. No one actually rests as rest means falling behind. “And falling behind means extinction,” they say.
Slowly, the city forgot the taste of true sunlight, the sound of wind through leaves, the weight of presence in another’s gaze. But Rayna knew the light could awaken them — and that one day, the people would remember how to see again.
One night, while wandering the city and sampling sounds for her new music, Rayna encounters a messenger bird from the spirit realm who tells her she’s been chosen to save humanity from its own unraveling. Rayna is sent on a multidimensional mission across seven mystical realms, each reflecting a unique nature ecosystem.
In every realm, she meets a guide from a different global Indigenous group who offers her a teaching—wisdom rooted in both their traditions and the natural world. These lessons help her grow in awareness, power, and purpose. Upon completing each level, Rayna receives an elemental instrument. Her ultimate mission is to weave these sounds into a powerful song capable of hacking into the Dream Machines in order to awaken the masses.
To fulfill this journey, Rayna must embrace her inner power, confront distorted realities, and challenge the rule of the Executive Game Operators—those who control the city through fear and separation.
